The Human Resources Generalist plays an essential role in supporting the daily functions of the HR department, including onboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, compliance, and employee relations. This position ensures that HR operations run efficiently and supports a workplace culture where employees feel informed, engaged, and valued. The HR Generalist will also collaborate with the company's external recruiting and payroll partners to maintain smooth workflows and consistent communication between HR, operations, and company leadership.
What You'll Do:
Recruitment & Onboarding
Partner with hiring managers and the external recruiting partner to coordinate requisitions and candidate communication. Prepare and manage new hire documentation, conduct orientations, and ensure all compliance and training requirements are met. Employee Relations & Benefits
Serve as a resource for employees regarding policies, benefits, and procedures. Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and vendor communication. Payroll Coordination & Compliance
Collaborate with the external payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. Verify employee data and timecards, communicate updates, and support HRIS record accuracy. Maintain compliance with all state and federal employment laws, including recordkeeping and reporting requirements. Employee Engagement & Administration
Support HR initiatives such as recognition programs, training sessions, and employee events. Assist with HR communications, audits, and process improvements. What We're Looking For:
Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 2-4 years of related HR experience. Working knowledge of HR functions, including onboarding, benefits, and compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
