Senior Human Resources Generalist
Overview:
A well-established manufacturing facility is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join its on-site HR team. This position is responsible for supporting and executing key HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and training. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in generalist duties within an industrial or plant environment and a proven ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Lead full-cycle recruitment including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and offer processes Partner with department leaders to define hiring needs and develop recruitment strategies Coordinate and facilitate effective onboarding to ensure seamless integration for new hires Employee Relations
Serve as a key resource for employee concerns, inquiries, and conflict resolution Conduct thorough investigations and recommend outcomes consistent with policy and legal requirements Contribute to building a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture Performance Management
Coordinate performance review processes and support leadership in delivering consistent, constructive feedback Analyze trends in performance metrics and provide strategic recommendations for improvement Support goal-setting initiatives and workforce development planning Training & Development
Identify training needs and coordinate job-specific or company-wide training initiatives Evaluate program effectiveness and adjust content or delivery as needed Leverage internal or external resources to deliver high-impact development opportunities Compliance & Policy Management
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws and employment regulations Maintain current knowledge of HR best practices and regulatory updates Support the implementation and communication of site-specific HR policies HR Administration & Reporting
Manage HR systems and employee records with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality Assist in payroll coordination, benefits administration, and general HR processes Prepare reports and analytics to support strategic HR decisions Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience; manufacturing or industrial environment preferred Working knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.) SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills High attention to detail, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive information Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms Compensation:
Base Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000, based on experience and qualifications
