The Part-Time Bookkeeper supports the mission of the parish by ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping. This role is responsible for managing parish financial transactions, maintaining compliance with Archdiocesan/Diocesan policies, and assisting the pastor, finance council and outside accountants with financial reporting.
General Responsibilities:
• Record deposits and other parish income. • Process accounts payable and prepare checks for vendor payments. • Prepare monthly invoices for rental property tenants and analyze the annual common area maintenance expense allocations. • Update credit card and banking information online for various electronic giving systems. • Generate reports for various events on an electronic giving platform. • Research and verify various matching donations for special collections and capital campaigns. • Ensure compliance with parish, diocesan, and basic accounting standards. • Assist with preparation of annual budgets. • Maintain confidentiality of all parishioners and parish financial information.

This position has an hourly salary range of $25.00 - $35.00. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
