LHH is partnering with a growing civil infrastructure company in Houston, TX to find a high-performing Accounts Payable Specialist with exceptional Excel skills and a strong eye for detail. Applicants should have three or more years of recent Accounts Payable experience in high-volume environments, with a preference for backgrounds in construction, industrial, or oil & gas sectors.

This company offers tremendous growth opportunities, both upward and laterally (into other accounting or operations functions), especially for proactive, retention-focused individuals. Pay for the Accounts Payable Specialist will range from $25 to $28 per hour depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Process and reconcile AP invoices per month with speed and accuracy Coordinate all aspects of Accounts Payable Work closely with Project Managers and their admins to resolve invoice and vendor issues Assist with new vendor setup by collecting required documentation and tax forms Maintain and reconcile AP aging reports and other ledgers Conduct high-volume reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Acquire invoice approvals from appropriate internal stakeholders Code and process non-PO invoices Adapt to evolving AP workflows across different business units (Construction & Machine Regions) Job Qualifications :

3+ years of recent Accounts Payable experience (must be ready to hit the ground running) Industry experience in construction, industrial, or oil & gas is preferred Advanced Excel skills required: must be comfortable creating Pivot Tables, using VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and handling large datasets Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Proven ability to manage high invoice volumes accurately and efficiently Comfortable working in a diverse, team-oriented environment Experience with two-party vendor relationships Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required

Pay Details:

$25.00 to $28.00 per hour
