Position Description
Position Summary
This position is expected to support the Provost by providing vision, leadership, strategic planning, coordination of and oversight to the operations and delivery of undergraduate and graduate curriculum development; developing new academic partnerships and initiatives that demonstrate continuous improvement of the academic programs; providing leadership and coordination of the generative A.I. strategy and Educational Technology for the Community of Educators; overseeing the University's learning resources including the Registrar's Office, Murray Library, the Sider Institute, and University Archives; and overseeing the faculty hiring process.
Education Required
Doctorate required.
Education Preferred
Experience Required
A minimum of ten years' experience in educational information systems, curriculum management, academic support services, or collegiate academics, including teaching.

Primary Duties
Curriculum 1. Oversee undergraduate and graduate curriculum development in coordination with the School Deans, Department Chairs, and Program Directors, including providing leadership in generating and maintaining efficient and appropriate curricular offerings, ensuring student needs are met and sections maintain adequate occupancy. 2. Manage the curriculum in CALM in coordination with Deans and the Director of Academic Operations to ensure baselines are accurate. 3. Oversee the work, development, and evaluation of the University Registrar and Director of Murray Library, the Sider Institute, and University Archives. 4. Oversee the development and approval of the University Academic Calendar. 5. Develop the agenda and provide relevant materials for the Undergraduate Academic Council. 6. Oversee archiving and periodic review of undergraduate course syllabi. Program Assessment and Educational Technology 7. Coordinate with the Office of Institutional Research and School Deans to lead the annual review of academic programs and develop data-informed strategic academic proposals for the Provost. 8. Work with the Office of Institutional Research and Director of Academic Operations to maintain academic area data including faculty loads, student/faculty ratio, and program productivity and efficiency metrics. 9. Provide leadership and coordinate the generative A.I. strategy and Educational Technology for the Community of Educators. Academic Partnerships 10. Develop new academic partnerships and create innovative learning opportunities, including providing leadership to existing programs of The Bridge Center for Continuing Education. Faculty Recruitment and Hiring 11. Coordinate the faculty recruitment and hiring process with the School Deans and Director of Academic Operations. Additional Areas of Responsibility 12. Serve on University Council, Undergraduate Academic Council, Graduate Council, Provost's Cabinet, and Provost's Educational Leadership Team. 13. Oversee budget preparation, analysis, and tracking for all areas of supervision in coordination with the Director of Academic Operations. 14. Serve as the Provost's designee on university committees as assigned. 15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Provost. 16. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
