Description Conduct assessments for patients spanning from pediatric to geriatric demographics, employing both standardized testing and observational tactics. Create individualized treatment plans that address immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions that focus on enhancing communication skills, language acquisition, fluency, vocal clarity, and swallowing functions. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to design comprehensive care strategies. Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress outside the clinic environment. Participate in the occasional provision of inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care. Document detailed patient information promptly, adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations. Maintain professional growth through ongoing education and interactive collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in the absence of ASHA certification. Certifications
Valid state licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment. Skills
Knowledge and application of evidence-based treatment methodologies across all age groups, with a firm grasp of both developmental and acquired disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, fostering relationships with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
