Save Job

New Horizons provides services to young adults experiencing homelessness in our community between the ages of 18 and 25. We provide breakfast and dinner every day of the week and lunch Monday - Thursday each week, we offer access to self-care facilities (showers, laundry, clothing, haircuts) and provide 35 emergency shelter beds 7 nights per week. Additionally, our case management team assists with everything from securing housing to job coaching and financial literacy. Above all, New Horizons provides a safe and welcoming space for this at-risk population of young adults in the Seattle area. Direct Service Volunteers

interact directly with young adults during day programming. DST Volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in multiple activities including arts and crafts, games, employment services, karaoke singing, and lunch and dinner. DST Volunteers will go through a 1 1/2 hour Direct Service Volunteer Training / Orientation before volunteering in the shelter. Volunteers must pass a background check.
