Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking a

GNOSC Watch Officer/Network Engineer

to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area.

The selected candidate for this position will need to be able to support a rotating shift schedule.

Key Duties:

Execute network, system, and cloud systems monitoring and surveillance, including environmental monitoring, incident management, and MDA cybersecurity support. Support and perform service maintenance activities, including Change Management coordination during assigned shifts. Oversee all aspects of IT incident management and escalation to ensure incidents are promptly escalated, managed, and resolved, with clear communication of status, plans, and actions provided to executive management and the Government customer. Communicate effectively at both technical and senior/executive management levels. Understand and operate within Command-level management environments. Deliver clear, professional communication to diverse cultural audiences, including VIPs and dignitaries. Serve as a section trainer by developing and presenting lesson plans and training materials. Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. Active Secret Clearance (or higher). 2 or more years of directly related experience. Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of hire (ex., Security+ with CE). Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

Experience working in metrics-driven IT Operations and Maintenance (O&M) environments. Experience using Remedy and SNMP monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Micro Focus NNMi/HPOV, or System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). Education or experience with the ITIL framework, including continual service improvement, change management, and problem investigation. Experience as a Windows or Linux System Administrator supporting a large enterprise, with knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server 2008/2012, Linux/UNIX operating systems, EMC Storage, Symantec NetBackup, and SCCM Patch Management. Experience as a Network Engineer with hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing network components, including switches, routers, firewalls, and cryptographic devices. Experience in cyber defense or information assurance, including use of DISA-mandated security tools such as ACAS and HBSS, along with the ability to analyze results and produce reports. Experience in network operations within a Network Operations Center (NOC) or other 24x7x365 IT operations environment. Knowledge of IT network operations and connectivity devices as they relate to Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) authentication and information security practices. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and experience executing system and network security analysis. Working knowledge of Tier III information assurance practices, IT security governance, security administration, project management, logistics, and cybersecurity compliance requirements. Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control inspection processes.
