Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking a

Ground Systems Engineer

to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.

Key Duties:

Design and develop IT solutions to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of Ground System Elements and Mission Suites within MDSEA. Conduct studies, analyses, requirements definition, and system engineering for Enterprise Services, satellite ground systems, and operations centers. Support infrastructure, networks, integration, logistics, cybersecurity, physical security, and cost/schedule planning to enable space capability development and operations. Lead project initiation, requirements management, task tracking, and development of artifacts for the Technical Baseline. Document system designs and develop implementation and test plans for sustainment personnel. Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure seamless system integration and compliance. Partner with Project Managers to create artifacts in support of preliminary, detailed, and critical design reviews with stakeholders. Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use. Active Secret Clearance (or higher). 3 or more years of systems engineering experience. Experience developing and editing DoDAF or UAF architecture products for IT systems. Experience decomposing complex mission systems into manageable components. Proven ability to develop detailed implementation plans for new solutions and systems. Background in systems engineering for IT and satellite ground systems. Strong skills in requirements analysis and management. Understanding of the Systems Engineering V Model and full engineering lifecycle. Demonstrated troubleshooting and critical thinking skills related to IT system dependencies, impacts, and sustainability. Highly motivated and self-starting systems engineering professional. Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

Active Top Secret Security clearance with SCI eligibility. Bachelor's degree in IT or a STEM discipline.
