MUST:
Experienced Occupational Therapist Registered
Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist Registered in Michigan
Must have experience working in a skilled nursing unit and/or Inpatient setting
DUTIES:
Occupational Therapist Registered will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Patient evaluation: Assess patients' medical history, abilities, and environment (home, work, etc.) to determine their needs and goals
Treatment planning: Create customized, goal-oriented treatment plans based on the evaluation, with the aim of helping patients live more independently
Therapeutic intervention: Implement treatment plans by teaching patients new skills and techniques to perform daily tasks like dressing, cooking, or driving
Adaptive equipment use: Recommend, teach, and help patients use assistive devices such as wheelchairs, adaptive seating, or other equipment
Patient and family education: Educate patients, their families, and other caregivers on how to best support the patient's recovery and long-term management of their condition
Collaboration: Work closely with a team of other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care
Documentation: Maintain detailed and confidential patient records, progress reports, and documentation of charges.
