We Want to Hear From You! As a

Behavior Intervention Specialist , you will support the implementation of positive behavior support programs aimed at enhancing student behavior. You will prioritize proactive approaches when addressing challenging behaviors while being ready to manage crisis situations using de-escalation techniques and strategies aligned with each student's behavioral intervention plan. Key Responsibilities: Implementing individual and group interventions to foster positive academic, social, and emotional outcomes. Reinforcing positive student behavior and guiding staff in these strategies. Maintaining and documenting records of student behavior strategies and intervention plans. Collecting and analyzing behavioral data to track progress and support instructional planning. Assisting teachers and staff with behavior management systems. Applying applied behavior analysis principles under the guidance of a board-certified behavior analyst. Conducting observations and functional behavior assessments to inform interventions. Supporting teachers in preparing and executing learning activities and supervising students. Providing crisis intervention while ensuring safety through appropriate strategies. Completing required incident documentation in accordance with policies while maintaining confidentiality. Participating in team meetings and training sessions to enhance behavioral expertise. Providing supervision for students in various school-related activities. Traveling between multiple sites as needed to support classroom efforts. Performing additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; passing a basic skills test. Preferred: Associate's degree or higher in a related field. Preferred: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Valid state driver's license required. Ability to maintain certification in approved crisis management training. Experience working with children, particularly in special education. Strong skills in supporting individuals with severe learning and emotional behavioral disorders. Knowledge of positive behavior interventions is preferred. Quick, calm decision-making skills in emergencies. Excellent communication, organization, and conflict resolution abilities.
