Job Description:
Farmingdale State College is seeking a Project Director for Clean Energy Microcredentials to provide oversight and develop Microcredential recruitment, advisement, and academic support at the College. The Project Director of Clean Energy Microcredentials will work to oversee the admissions and program administration of specific microcredentials, including our Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Surveying and Site Planning microcredential, and will help provide marketing and promotion, and recruitment. In addition, the Project Director will be responsible for offering student support and referral to campus resources, as well as related tracking and reporting that pertains to the program.
The Project Director will report into the Assistant Provost's Office and work collaboratively with the academic departments offering the microcredentials, the Office of Admissions, the Office of Marketing and Communication as well as the offices and entities identified by the community colleges that are integral to the success of the partnership.
This position would require some support on selected weekday evenings and Saturdays.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement plans to market Farmingdale State College's microcredential programs to partners: regional high schools and BOCES program locations, employer organizations and other partners to help to recruit program participants. In conjunction with the Office of Marketing and Communications and the departments, develop and distribute recruitment pieces including brochures, posters, flyers, and table displays. Hold information sessions for the programs, which may include evening and weekend hybrid work. Provide enrollment data including target enrollment numbers, number of applicants, number of students admitted/enrolled, and retention information each semester. Assure implementation of all fiscal and reporting requirements. Working with departments, document and purchase equipment and supplies for the program. Work closely with Student Financial Services, the Office of Enrollment and the Registrar to coordinate enrollment functions to assure complete, quality service to newly admitted students. Ensure that students have access to all of Farmingdale State Colleges resources in support of student success. Administer student basic needs support and completion stipend for program. Work with FSC staff to create and maintain the partnership program web pages and social media communications. Work with the Nexus Career Center to ensure students have information pertaining to related internship and employment opportunities. Work with Admissions to create information sessions for students in the program to learn about future degree program opportunities at Farmingdale. Organize periodic departmental meetings regarding program status each semester. Ensure DegreeWorks records are maintained in consultation with department chairs. Conduct an annual assessment of the program for the purpose of continual improvement and growth. This is a grant-funded position with funding available for two years.

Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree. At least three (3) years of experience working in an educational setting. Strong proven record of successful organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse group of people. Experience with or oversight of program budgets. Excellent written and verbal communication and computer skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in education, higher education administration, or a related field. Grant writing and/or implementation experience. Experience working in higher education. Experience with clean energy initiatives.
