About the Role: We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of our financial records. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable handling a mix of transactional bookkeeping and general accounting work, and proficient in advanced Excel for reporting and reconciliations.

This position offers variety - from managing invoices and credit memos to assisting with reconciliations, data entry, and light costing or analysis - all while maintaining the integrity of the company's books.

Bookkeeping - Key Responsibilities: Record Daily Transactions:

Accurately enter sales, purchases, receipts, and payments into the accounting system. Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Track incoming payments, issue invoices, process credit memos, and ensure vendor bills are paid on time. Reconciliations:

Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. Month-End Close Assistance:

Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and support the month-end closing and financial reporting process. Costing Support (Light Analysis):

Assist with product costing by ensuring the latest duty, tariff, and freight rates are reflected in the standard cost. Reporting and Analysis:

Utilize advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) to reconcile accounts, analyze variances, and identify discrepancies. Qualifications:

3-6 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a small or mid-sized business. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software. Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, multi-sheet reporting). Solid understanding of account reconciliations, AP/AR, and general ledger posting. High attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organizational skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or with a team. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience preferred.
