POSITION: Aluminum TIG Welder
SHIFT: 1st 6:00AM to 4:30PM. OT as needed
PAY RATE: $20-30/HR. Scale based on experience and ability to pass a Flat, V, Circular Rung Weld Test on-site.

SUMMARY:
Wise Staffing has partnered with Spec Fab Services in Greenville, SC who are looking for an Aluminum TIG Welder to join their team on 1st Shift. As an Aluminum TIG Welder at Spec Fab Services, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for providing high-quality custom metal fabrication services, specializing in aluminum welding and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding processes. Our partner is known for its precision, craftsmanship, and ability to deliver complex, high-performance welding solutions to industries such as aerospace, automotive, and marine.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
TIG Welding: Perform high-precision TIG welding on aluminum parts, ensuring strong, clean, and visually appealing welds. Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to understand welding requirements. Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, fitting, and aligning aluminum components to ensure optimal welding outcomes. Quality Control: Inspect welded joints and complete work to ensure compliance with specified tolerances and quality standards. Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify weld quality. Weld Process Management: Maintain proper control of welding processes, adjusting settings as necessary to accommodate varying material types, thicknesses, and positions.
QUALIFICATIONS: MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A FLAT, V, CIRCULAR RUNG WELD TEST. Proven Expertise: Extensive experience in TIG welding, specifically with aluminum, food grade steel in a fabrication or manufacturing setting. Blueprint Proficiency: Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Precision and Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise and clean welds, ensuring minimal rework and adherence to quality standards. Must have 2-3 Years of TIG Welding experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Physical Stamina: Capable of working in a physically demanding environment, standing for extended periods and lifting materials as required. Welding certification is preferred (e.g., AWS D1.2 for Aluminum). Prior experience in a custom metal fabrication environment is highly desirable.
Working Environment: This position is based in a fabrication shop, where you will be working with various tools, machinery, and materials. Safety equipment, including gloves, goggles, and welding helmets, must be always worn.
