Billing & Claims Coordinator

to join their Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. This is a fully onsite opportunity ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Position Overview

The Billing & Claims Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of medical billing operations. This position involves managing both paper and electronic claims, verifying medical documentation, and collaborating with internal departments and external partners to ensure timely and compliant claim submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit paper and electronic claims (primary, secondary, tertiary) in alignment with payer-specific requirements.

• Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate and complete claim submissions.

• Monitor billing reports and proactively resolve discrepancies or claim denials.

• Handle incoming mail, scan and route documentation, and manage administrative materials.

• Process refund checks, EOBs, and related correspondence with appropriate documentation.

• Maintain up-to-date patient account notes and billing system records.

• Collaborate with providers, billing teams, and insurance carriers to resolve issues and ensure compliance.

• Uphold HIPAA and internal confidentiality standards in all documentation and communication.

• Support special projects and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree is a plus.

• Prior experience in medical billing or claims processing, preferably within oncology or specialty care.

• Strong understanding of healthcare billing practices, insurance guidelines, and compliance standards.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with EHR systems is advantageous.

• Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with cross-functional teams.

• Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive patient information.

Pay Details:

$20.00 to $22.00 per hour
