StaffBuffalo is excited to partner with a respected and mission-driven healthcare organization in Buffalo, NY, to hire a Director of Human Resources. This is a full-time, on-site leadership opportunity offering
$100,000-$110,000
annually, with excellent benefits and generous PTO.
As the Director of HR, you'll report directly to the VP of Human Resources and lead a team of HR specialists. You'll have the opportunity to shape HR strategy, coach leaders, manage employee relations across the organization, and support the development of 400+ employees. This is a highly visible role on the senior management team, perfect for a professional who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves on day-to-day issues and driving big-picture initiatives.
This is an on-site, full-time position based in Buffalo, NY.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the HR team, ensuring effective delivery of HR services across all locations Partner with senior leadership to design and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals Oversee employee relations, coaching managers on everything from attendance challenges to performance concerns Manage and improve the performance evaluation and feedback process Administer and oversee leave management programs Develop and deliver supervisor and leadership training, including quarterly new-manager cohorts Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to align recruitment strategies with organizational growth Support wellness initiatives, workforce development, and engagement programming Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to leadership, driving organizational culture and values Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience; prior Director-level experience strongly preferred Thorough knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices Experience in healthcare or mission-driven organizations is a plus Strong background in employee relations, performance management, and leave administration Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills Demonstrated ability to live and lead by organizational values: kindness, resilience, teamwork, and fairness Compensation & Benefits:
