Role & Responsibilities In this role, you will: The Field Construction Coordinator (FCC) supports the Construction Manager in overseeing field-level construction activities related to electric utility infrastructure. This includes transmission, distribution, underground networks, and substations. The FCC ensures contractor compliance with technical standards, project specifications, and schedule commitments while facilitating coordination, quality control, and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities

Field Oversight: Supervise and support contractor crews, ensuring work aligns with construction plans and Customer standards. Perform routine site checks and inspections. Quality Control & Documentation: Conduct QA/QC activities, maintain project documentation, manage paperwork, and assist with invoice-related approvals. Scheduling & Coordination: Assist in field scheduling, vegetation management sequencing, and coordination of material/resource needs. Contractor Interface: Serve as the primary field contact for contractor supervisors and foremen throughout the duration of assigned projects. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external parties such as Safety, Energy Control Center, community members, and engineering teams to resolve issues and minimize delays. Field Interpretation: Review and apply work orders, engineering drawings/sketches, permits, and easements. Support Emergency Response: Be available to support storm restoration or other emergency response operations as needed.

Qualifications / Requirements To succeed in this role, you bring:

Minimum 5 years of experience in electric utility construction or maintenance. Extensive knowledge of electric utility materials, equipment, and field practices, particularly in transmission and distribution systems, underground networks, and substations. Familiarity with utility asset inspection programs and health assessments. Proven experience working with contractors, including performance evaluation and field coordination. Software Proficiency

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, MS Project). SAP experience is a plus. Soft Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical details to diverse audiences. Team-oriented with cross-functional collaboration skills. Mobility Requirements

Willingness to travel within the Upper State New York franchise area, including overnight stays. Physically capable of walking distribution lines and remote transmission rights-of-way. Why Join PTAG?
