We are seeking a
Field Construction Coordinator (FCC)
to support our client’s
transmission, distribution, and substation projects
in
Binghamton, New York . You’ll play a critical role supporting field operations — coordinating schedules, ensuring safety and quality, and driving project execution to meet client and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do
Monitor field construction progress and coordinate schedules with project leadership.
Lead weekly project meetings and verify contractor two-week lookahead schedules.
Review contractor invoices, material deliveries, and field documentation for accuracy.
Observe on-site activities and report field issues or public concerns to the Project Manager.
Support resolution of construction discrepancies with engineering and contractor teams.
Ensure compliance with Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (M&PT) standards.
Conduct safety briefings, site observations, and weekly inspections.
Support project closeout, including documentation finalization and material reconciliation.
What You Bring
Minimum 5 years of experience in utility field operations or construction management.
Strong knowledge of transmission, distribution, substation, and underground network construction practices.
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Project); SAP experience .
Strong written and verbal communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to travel within the service area and work in varied field environments.
Certifications: OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/AED, Valid Driver’s License, and Background Check Clearance (IUSA policy).
