Standard business hours, Monday-Friday (EST) Job Summary: The
Senior Business Analyst - Financial Systems Projects
will play a key role on the
FP&A Transformation team
within the Insurance System Transformation initiative. This position focuses on
enhancing and automating FP&A processes , improving financial data integrity, and bridging communication between finance and technology stakeholders. The ideal candidate will combine deep analytical expertise with strong technical understanding of financial systems, particularly within
Life & Annuity insurance
or financial services organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct
business process analysis
of FP&A projection activities, including forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling, to identify efficiency opportunities. Collaborate with finance and technology teams to
gather and document business requirements
for system enhancements and automation. Develop and execute
test plans and user acceptance testing (UAT)
to validate financial data accuracy and ensure system reliability. Partner with FP&A teams to ensure
data integrity, consistency, and control
across planning and reporting systems. Drive
continuous improvement initiatives , recommending alternative workflows that improve accuracy and speed in forecasting processes. Serve as a
liaison between finance and IT , translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions. Support the development of
dashboards, reports, and KPIs
to improve leadership decision-making. Required Experience:
5-10+ years
of experience in FP&A, financial systems, or business analysis within
Life & Annuity insurance or financial services. Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and lead process optimization initiatives. Strong communication and stakeholder management experience across business and technology teams. Education:
Bachelor's degree in
Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Finance, or related) preferred. Required Skills:
Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) expertise Business process improvement and automation Data validation and system testing Preferred Skills:
Experience with financial systems (Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, etc.) Proficiency in
Excel and PowerPoint
for reporting and presentations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Additional Skills:
Requirements documentation and UAT management Financial data governance and reconciliation Communication between cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, and Operations) Benefits:
