Statistical Data Analyst (Finance)

This position gathers, organizes, and statistically analyzes research data. The analyst determines data requirements, designs data collection tools, constructs and manages databases, conducts statistical analysis, and reports results. The role also participates in the development of research policies and practices across specialties such as healthcare, public health, education, behavioral science, mental health, and social science.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collect and validate research data for analysis.
• Design and implement data collection instruments.
• Build and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity.
• Perform statistical analyses using software such as SAS, SPSS, and SQL.
• Prepare reports and presentations of findings for stakeholders.
• Provide data consulting to multiple research studies.

This work meets the FLSA criteria for a professional exemption by performing primarily intellectual tasks that require a prolonged period of academic preparation.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a field directly related to research or data analysis and a minimum of one year of research experience; or a Masters degree in a related field. Progressive work experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Four years of direct, related experience can satisfy the level of a bachelors degree, and experience can also substitute for post?secondary education requirements according to SB 1310.
