Overview Manufacturing Technicians set up, run and maintain manufacturing equipment and assembly processes. Ensuring that all equipment is working efficiently, monitoring production processes, and making adjustments or troubleshooting as needed. Manufacturing technicians produce products for the consumer market. They assemble components by hand, add finishing touches to components, and perform quality checks on machine-produced parts. Essential Job Functions Assembles products and parts to meet production targets Follows production guidelines and specifications Operates and maintains machinery and production line equipment Monitors the production line and removes faulty products Participates in ongoing on-the-job training to adhere to company policies Performs assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks Conducts quality checks on the functionality of parts and components Adds finishing touches to the appearance of components Performs minor repairs and reports breakdowns in a timely manner Keeps equipment maintenance logs Collaborates with other departments to complete production orders on time Complies with internal policies and industry regulations Follows instructions and/or directions given by supervisors to complete assigned work projects Ensures work area is clean and safe This is not a complete list of requirements; additional duties may be assigned as needed. Requirements Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems Fabricating experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment Ability to work in a team setting Work as a team within the department and with other departments and Leads Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with company policies Required Physical Demands Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products. Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time. Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand.
