Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Corrections | Travel Contract
Location: Milan, NM (Cibola County - CoreCivic Facility)
Start Date: 11/11/2025
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Hours: 36 hrs/week (12-hr shifts)
Shift: Days or Nights (Open Availability Required)
Schedule Notes: Tuesday starts; potential 36/48 rotation; 36-hr guarantee

Weekly Gross: $1,950
147 hrs per 4 weeks - possible overtime
Must be US Citizen with SSN for facility clearance

Job Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) needed for a corrections facility in Milan, NM. This role involves providing basic nursing care in a secure facility while supporting physician-directed treatment and medication administration. Ideal for nurses comfortable working in structured environments with a focus on safety, consistency, and inmate healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care to inmates/residents
• Assist physician with exams & treatments
• Support sick call operations & medication administration (pill call)
• Maintain security of medical supplies & controlled substances
• Document patient care in accordance with facility policies
• Assist with emergency medical response
• Observe & report patient behavior and clinical data
• Escort/coordinate inmate movement for medical care
• Assist in maintaining clean & secure medical unit

Requirements

Graduate of accredited LPN program
Active LPN license (State of NM)
Valid driver's license
US Citizenship & SS card required
Corrections or acute care experience preferred
