Project Manager – Energy from Waste Job at Lanesra Technical Recruitment Ltd in

Salary: £100k (Neg DOE), car/allowance, bonus (c.20%) and excellent benefits package

The Project: Develop, construct and operate a new Energy from Waste (EfW) facility.

The Role: Site based role coordinating the day-to-day management of construction and contractual matters on the project. Minimum of 3 days per week on site.

Responsibilities:

Health & Safety:

1. Embed a positive health and safety culture at all levels across the project.
2. Proactively enforce health and safety control measures on site through regular auditing, promotion of positive behaviours and identification of areas for improvement.
3. Ensure that the EPC Contractor and its subcontractors maintain and enforce robust health and safety monitoring control measures and ensure that all incidents are fully investigated in a timely manner with rectification measures clearly identified and cascaded throughout the workforce.
4. Ensure compliance with statutory legislative health and safety obligations.

Contract Management:

1. Ensure project delivery in accordance with the agreed contractual specification, technical and commercial schedules and terms of the EPC Contract.
2. Administer EPC contractual changes by both Purchaser and EPC Contractor.
3. Coordinate responses to EPC Contractor technical queries.

Project Controls:

1. Management of financial matters relating to the project including budget maintenance, cost control, and processing of milestone payment applications.
2. Manage project risk register and ensure effective Risk Reduction meetings.

Management:

1. Manage the contractual relationship with the Owner’s Engineer (OE).

Reporting:

1. Ensure the Project Director is fully appraised of progress against time and budget.
2. Produce and maintain regular reports identifying and evaluating performance against key KPIs.

Stakeholder Engagement:

1. Coordinate interfaces on site and manage key stakeholder relationships.

Experience:

1. Project Management experience in multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally within the energy from waste, power generation or other process industries.
2. Qualification in a construction, commercial, or engineering related discipline.
3. Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
4. Excellent oral and written communicator.
5. Extensive knowledge of EPC Contracts.
