Manufacturing Process Engineer

to join their team!

This is an onsite/ full-time/ direct-hire position Salary based on experience: Up to $100,000

The Manufacturing Process Engineer in this role will lead process improvement efforts across our production floor, support root cause analysis, and work closely with design and engineering to integrate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) practices. You'll be directly engaged with shop floor teams, launching continuous improvement (CI) projects, and ensuring our manufacturing operations meet high standards of consistency, quality, and efficiency.

Key Job Responsibilities Engage hands-on in daily shop floor operations to support, sustain, and enhance production processes. Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and preventive solutions for process and quality issues. Initiate, plan, and execute continuous improvement (CI) and lean projects (e.g., flow optimization, work cell layout, workload balancing, standard work). Work cross-functionally with design/engineering to embed DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and develop manufacturable solutions. Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), PFMEA / DFMEA, and related quality methodologies. Oversee small to medium manufacturing process projects from conception to implementation (scope, schedule, resources, risk). Review and produce technical drawings, design fixturing, and support assembly optimization. Interact with ERP systems to maintain production routing, process data, and change control. Mentor and train shop floor personnel on best practices, standard work, and continuous improvement methods. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or equivalent technical discipline). Minimum of 3 years' professional engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably including aerospace or precision manufacturing). Proven experience leading CI/Lean initiatives with measurable results. Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root-cause / corrective action methodologies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills - able to work with both production teams and engineering/design functions. U.S. citizenship (required for this role). Preferred Qualifications Experience designing or working with fixturing / tooling. Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred). Ability to read, interpret, and produce ASME Y14.5 compliant technical drawings. Experience with complex assemblies or multi-component systems. Familiarity with ERP systems, and strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, etc.). Existing experience in aerospace or tightly regulated industry environments.
