Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and installing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems while minimizing downtime and maintaining compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facility systems according to schedules. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Inspect and maintain building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and structural components. Install, maintain, and repair production equipment and facility infrastructure. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts used. Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics. Assist in planning and executing equipment upgrades and modifications. Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and support operational needs. Manage inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend solutions for increased reliability. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree or certification preferred). Proven experience as a maintenance technician, mechanic, or similar role. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment. Basic computer skills for logging work orders and maintenance records. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or on-call, if required. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for long periods. Comfortable working in industrial environments with varying conditions (heat, cold, noise).
