About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile

Senior Accountant / Generalist

to join our growing Finance & Accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can balance both technical accounting responsibilities and day-to-day operational functions. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules. Manage ASC 842 lease accounting, including monthly journal entries and supporting schedules. Oversee fixed asset accounting: additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations. Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances. Ensure compliance with state and local tax (SALT) obligations including Sales & Use Tax, Property/Personal Property Tax, and other required filings. Support federal, state, and business license reporting requirements. Assist with financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP. Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and AP/AR activity as needed. Provide guidance and oversight to the AP Specialist and junior team members. Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting operations and strengthen internal controls. Support audits (financial, tax, compliance) by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Collaborate with the Accounting Manager, Controller, and CFO on special projects and strategic initiatives. Exercise the highest level of integrity and confidentiality in all aspects of financial reporting. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally across general ledger and technical accounting areas. Strong knowledge of GAAP including ASC 842 lease accounting. Experience with fixed assets, intercompany reconciliations, and tax compliance (SALT, federal/state, and business licenses). Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills

Experience in private equity-backed, multi-entity, or multi-state environments. Familiarity with expense management platforms (e.g., Concur, Bill.com, Ramp). Prior experience supporting audits and working with external auditors. Ability to identify process gaps and drive automation or system improvements. Benefits:
