Our client is a leading, global manufacturer of specialized automotive lighting. They deliver innovative lighting solutions to major automotive customers worldwide, and they’re looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team in Plymouth, MI.

Responsibilities The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading manufacturing process development and validation for new automotive lighting products:

Drive manufacturing readiness activities in line with program milestones

Perform DFM/DFA reviews and support tooling and equipment commissioning

Collaborate closely with design, quality, purchasing, and operations to optimize manufacturability and cost

Lead PFMEA development and process validations

Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards

Identify and implement cost‑saving and process improvement opportunities

Other duties as assigned

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering

10+ years in manufacturing engineering (automotive industry)

Experience with APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, and process validation methodologies

Proficient in CAD tools, MS Office, and statistical analysis software

Proven track record launching new products in Tier‑1 or Tier‑2 automotive environments
