Job Title Civil/Geotechnical Engineer

Location Atlanta, GA
Salary Base pay range: $60,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Civil/site engineering and design for government buildings, test stands, recreational facilities, roadways, parking lots, laboratory facilities, etc.
Perform boring layout for utility clearance, supervise drill rigs, classify soils, log borings.
Perform and supervise field exploration, including SPT sampling, rock coring, pile testing.
Assist in developing a variety of layouts, drawings, and designs.
Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Slope Stability Analysis.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
1-3 years’ experience with Geotechnical engineer knowledge.
1-3 years’ experience preparing Geotechnical Engineering reports, including site investigations, soil analysis, and foundation recommendations.
Experience and skill in application of CAD software, specifically Civil 3D and associated civil software packages are highly desirable.
At least 1 year of experience working on GDOT projects preferred.
Ability and willingness to assist designers, drafters, and other staff members where needed.
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants, and utility companies.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
Physical Requirements
Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments.
Ability to carry required instruments and equipment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat.
