Job Title:
Civil/Geotechnical Engineer
Location:
Atlanta, GA
Base Pay Range:
$60,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
Salary is based on experience and will be discussed with the manager in interview.
Duties/Responsibilities
Civil/site engineering and design for government buildings, test stands, recreational facilities, roadways, parking lots, laboratory facilities, etc.
Perform boring layout for utility clearance, supervising drill rigs, classifying soils, logging borings
Perform and supervise field exploration, including SPT sampling, rock coring, pile testing
Assist in developing a variety of layouts, drawings, and designs
Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Slope Stability Analysis
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
1‑3 years’ experience in Geotechnical engineering
1‑3 years’ experience preparing Geotechnical Engineering reports, including site investigations, soil analysis, and foundation recommendations
Experience and skill in application of CAD software, specifically Civil 3D and associated civil software packages
At least 1 year of experience working on GDOT projects preferred
Ability and willingness to assist designers, drafters, and other staff members where needed
Effective communication with internal and external partners including clients, sub‑consultants, and utility companies
Valid driver’s license and insurability
Physical Requirements
Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
Ability to carry required instruments and equipment
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including extreme cold and heat
