Job Description As an accountant, you will maintain financial records, ensure accurate transaction recording, reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger, and prepare financial statements and reports. You will analyze costs, revenues, commitments, and obligations to forecast future financial performance.

Responsibilities

Compile and analyze financial information; prepare journal entries and document business transactions.

Prepare profit and loss statements, monthly close reports, and cost accounting statements.

Reconcile general ledger accounts with detail and supporting documentation.

Provide information from relevant sources to understand and support financial transactions.

Maintain accounting controls and procedures.

Analyze and review budgets and expenditures.

Recommend appropriate budget levels and ensure expenditure control.

Review accounting and system reports for accuracy and completeness.

Document and communicate revenue, expenditure, and balance sheet trends and variances.

Resolve accounting discrepancies with business units and controller group.

Develop productive relationships with finance team and support teams.

Maintain financial databases and filing systems.

Process financial data and reports using automated systems.

Cooperate with internal and external auditors during audits.

Adhere to company policies, GAAP, and SOX standards.

Prioritize, organize, and accomplish work goals and plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.

1 year of accounting experience (3 years preferred).

Experience with Oracle Financials modules preferred.

Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

Understanding of accounting theory and principles.

Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits Base salary ranges from $63,384 to $82,400 annually. Compensation may also include bonus or incentive plans, equity, and other benefits such as paid time off, medical, dental, vision coverage, and retirement plans.
