Duties
Aligns development efforts with business and operational logistics needs, enhancing inventory management, shipping, tracking, and warehouse operations through robust application solutions. Utilized SQL and Unix for immediate bug fixes to prevent operational disruptions. Conducts planned outages for data centers (DC) to optimize application performance and ensure system stability. Develops and automates scripts using Shell scripting and Postman to minimize incident occurrences and streamline operational workflows. Designed and implemented ServiceNow Orchestration to automate IT processes, integrate workflows, and enhance operational efficiency. Provides technical leadership in designing and implementing solutions that improve supply chain visibility, demand forecasting, and route optimization. Actively participates in hyper‑care activities for business markets across Mexico, Canada, Central America (CAM), and the USA, ensuring smooth transitions and operational stability. Effectively manages peak volume demands for specific markets, overseeing distribution center (DC) operations to fulfill e‑commerce freight requirements. Supports DC upgrades by proactively managing memory enhancements and processing change requests. Manages the installation and upgrade processes for logistics management applications, including Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and order fulfillment platforms. Engages in war room meetings to troubleshoot transportation delays, warehouse inefficiencies, and order fulfillment issues, implementing proactive solutions to maintain supply chain continuity. Creates comprehensive technical documentation for logistics applications, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and operational support. Leads root cause analysis (RCA) and rapid issue resolution for logistic system failures, optimizing delivery schedules and inventory management. Develops training manuals and troubleshooting guides to support operations and IT teams managing logistics applications. Implements Java APIs, SQL optimizations, and change management best practices to enhance Global Logistics Systems (GLS), ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and seamless global supply chain operations. Demonstrates expertise in Java‑based enterprise application development for Global Logistics systems, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and automation in supply chain management. Developed automation tools using Python and ServiceNow (SNOW), leveraging JSON and XML formats to create APIs that reduce processing time and improve operational efficiency.
Minimum Education and Experience Required
Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in software engineering or related experience.
Skills Required JAVA SPRING BOOT – Developing & optimizing microservices using Spring Boot & RESTful APIs.
NODEJS – Implementing RESTful & GraphQL, query development, optimizing query to reduce time.
AngularJS – Designing & implementing directives, services, filters & dependency injection, data binding.
UI/UX Design – Design wireframes & responsive design principles.
Backend Development & Integration – Spring Boot & Node.js to ensure scalability.
User Interface Design – Designing systems with reusable components such as data visualization components.
Proof of Concepts – Using Node.js for backend services & Angular for frontend interface.
Data Analysis – Using SQL query & managing relational databases.
RESTful Web Services – Designing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot & Express.js.
Networking – LANs, WANs, setting up environment on server.
HTML/CSS – Webpage styling and modification.
Java Swing – Implementing UI using Java Swing components such as JFrame, JPanel, JTable, JTree.
Database Management – Using MySQL, Informix, PostgreSQL & Oracle for data retrieval, modification, query optimization and performance fine tuning.
Automation and Utilities – Using Linux Shell scripting and Python scripting.
