Positions can be located at: UC Irvine – Campus, UC Irvine Medical Center, Orange, Costa Mesa, Laguna Hills, Newport Beach, Santa Ana, Anaheim, Tustin, Yorba Linda/Placentia. Responsibilities
Interview patients for admission to UCI medical facilities. Make financial arrangements for hospital and clinic patients. Conduct insurance verification and pre‑authorizations. Maintain medical records. Schedule and reschedule patient appointments. Required Qualifications
Knowledge of medical terminology. Data entry experience. Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Experience working in customer service environments. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English. 1‑3 years of general clerical experience or completion of vocational training in the medical front office field. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a medical setting for one year or more. Experience with EPIC EMR system. Knowledge of healthcare insurances. Experience with billing. Compensation
$25.00/hour (within range of $23.23/hour – $25.61/hour). In addition to the above salary, there are benefits such as medical insurance, sick and vacation time, retirement savings plans, and access to a number of discounts and perks.
