Base Pay Range
$21.00/hr - $32.00/hr
Job Summary Responsible for providing professional service and support for Huber Technology customers by performing field service installations, start‑up, repair, and maintenance of Huber wastewater equipment. The Field Service Specialist will work within the guidelines established by the Director of Service and/or President and will follow established procedures when representing Huber Technology.
Duties and Responsibilities
Install, calibrate, configure, test, maintain, evaluate, troubleshoot, pre‑commission, commission, and repair Huber wastewater equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, polymer stations, and related components.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance or repair of equipment and associated components.
Assist with installation of equipment at customer sites, including pre‑installation assistance.
Review blueprints, plans, specifications and other customer documentation to prepare for startup or service.
Provide on‑site training of customer personnel to Huber Technology standards.
Build professional customer relationships through solution‑oriented communication and service, providing both on‑site and telephone support.
Collaborate with engineering, project management, spare parts, and management teams to resolve escalated problems.
Document all activities in written reports to the Director of Service and complete required documentation promptly.
Submit expense reports for all out‑of‑site expenses.
Make technical recommendations to maintenance technicians and plant operators.
Work closely with Aftermarket Sales and Operations to ensure site work is completed on schedule.
Adhere to safe working practices, reporting any health & safety breaches to the Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator.
Perform additional technical activities as assigned by the Director of Service.
Maintain tools, equipment, and parts in safe, secure, and calibrated condition in accordance with Huber Technology requirements.
Assist in manufacturing or engineering projects, unit refurbishment, or replacement initiatives.
Document, label, and return all defective parts used in repairs.
Provide in‑depth troubleshooting over the phone and in the field.
Assist with warranty versus non‑warranty issues and with aftermarket sales consultants.
Maintain a professional appearance and uniform compliance at all times.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Accept additional responsibilities as requested by the Service Manager or Director of Service.
Education and Experience
Associate’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent mechanical‑industrial repair/service experience.
Minimum 1–2 years in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Wastewater experience is a plus.
Additional Skills and Abilities
High level of customer service skill with quick response to service calls and good time management.
Fast‑paced, motivated personality with strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Physical ability to perform the job requirements.
Proficient English communication; other languages a plus.
Computer proficiency for required reports.
Valid driver’s license; DOT physical for driving fleet vehicles; CDL not required.
Forklift operation capability or willingness to be trained.
Extensive travel (up to 100%) in the United States and Canada.
Maintain company‑provided equipment, tools, and fleet vehicles per policy.
Location near a major airport is required.
Physical Demands
Moderate to occasional heavy physical demand, exposure to dust, hot and cold climates, and various environmental conditions.
Regularly moves, carries or lifts 25–50+ pounds of tools, laptops, PPE, and equipment.
Stand, reach, bend, squat, push, pull, and move about facilities or job sites.
Walk or stand 8+ hours per day, often ascending/descending ladders or steps.
Travel by flight, automobile, or boat as required.
Adhere to safety guidelines for mechanical tools, manual tools, and computer use.
Good hearing and vision are important for job safety.
Maintain attendance due to tight schedules and travel requirements.
Maintain up‑to‑date vaccinations for wastewater environment safety.
Pre‑Hire Requirements This role requires passing a pre‑hire drug test, random safety/drug testing, background check, and completion of an I‑9 form. HUBER is an E‑Verify employer.
