Job Description American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and ARRT certification for a 13-week assignment.
Responsibilities Work in an acute care setting within the radiology MRI department Handles a variety of MRI studies including brain, neck, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, breast, cardiac, prostate, MSK, and imaging patients with implanted devices Average of 28 MRI scans per day using GE 1.5T & 3T at the main hospital, with Philips and Hitachi equipment at outpatient clinics Charting is done using EPIC EMR and Sectra PACS; experience with these is valued Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, eight-hour shifts May be required to float to cover other areas as operational needs arise Participation in standby and holiday rotations is required Primary duties include performing a full spectrum of MRI studies and prepping patients with implanted devices after research Radiologist is in-house and MRI technologists are supported by radiology aides Department orientation is provided to all staff Personal scrubs are required, as hospital scrubs are provided only to OR staff Must be N95 fit tested before starting work Participation in the department holiday rotation and standby coverage is required Previous employees of any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility must not have been employed directly within the past year
Requirements Minimum of 2 years MRI technologist experience in an acute care setting Current ARRT certification required; ARMRIT is only accepted if ARRT(MR) is also held Washington State Radiologic Technologist license required unless ARRT(MR) is achieved through the ARRT Primary Pathway (license required if applicable) ARRT MRI certification preferred Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required IV insertion skills are necessary Must provide 2 professional references, including at least one supervisor reference from the past 12 months Must provide a copy of a valid driver's license
