Wondrous Heights Counseling LLC is a mental health group practice dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence‑based mental health services. We believe in the power of accessible, culturally responsive care and are seeking a bilingual therapist to join our growing team.
Position Overview The Bilingual Mental Health Therapist will provide high‑quality individual, family, and/or group therapy in both English and Spanish. This position offers flexibility to provide services in‑person at our Gaithersburg location and via telehealth. The ideal candidate is culturally competent, empathetic, and passionate about improving access to mental health care for diverse communities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy in English and Spanish.
Conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain timely and accurate documentation.
Deliver culturally sensitive, trauma‑informed care using evidence‑based therapeutic approaches.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, case managers, and primary care providers.
Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
Participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional development opportunities.
Maintain compliance with ethical and legal standards, including HIPAA and state licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
Current and active clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LPCC, Psychologist) in the state of [your state].
Bilingual proficiency (fluent in Spanish and English—spoken and written).
Demonstrated experience providing therapy to diverse populations.
Ability to work independently and manage a hybrid caseload (in‑person and telehealth).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Hispanic communities or other multicultural populations.
Familiarity with trauma‑informed care, CBT, DBT, EMDR, or other evidence‑based modalities.
Experience using EHR systems and telehealth platforms.
