The Externals Group is working with a leading building envelope contractor that specializes in institutional, industrial, and commercial projects. They focus on large‑scale facilities and critical operations delivering expert technical knowledge and meticulous attention to detail.
As a Senior Project Manager you’ll take ownership of multiple commercial roofing projects—planning, leading, and delivering them to completion. You’ll oversee everything from pre‑construction through to close‑out, ensuring quality, safety, and profitability every step of the way.
A Day in the Life
Lead and coordinate project teams to deliver commercial roofing projects on time and within budget.
Plan resources, schedule work, and monitor progress across multiple sites.
Prepare budgets, conduct cost analyses, and ensure projects meet financial goals.
Manage client relationships acting as the key liaison between the company, vendors, and customers.
Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
Track performance metrics, review job completion financials, and drive continuous improvement across projects.
What You’ll Bring
8 years of project management experience, ideally in commercial roofing or construction.
Experience working on government or public sector projects (preferred).
Knowledge of roofing systems including single‑ply asphalt (cold‑applied, hot‑applied) and metal.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a solid understanding of cost control and budgeting.
Proficiency with Procore and other cost or project management software.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with a keen eye for detail.
