Title : Associate Actuary (ACAS) Location: Open to remote candidates that can work business hours in the Eastern Time Zone. Hybrid schedule for local candidates (40-50% in the Amelia, OH office).

Purpose Manage and direct the development, analysis, evaluation and modeling of actuarial and predictive solutions to support financial profitability and production goals. Act as a high‑level technical expert, providing strategic direction and leading projects in actuarial and predictive modeling.

Roles & Responsibilities

Complete actuarial and/or predictive modeling analyses, including rate filings, loss projections, pricing studies, risk capital modeling and portfolio analysis.

Lead multi‑resource projects and coordinate priority use of actuarial resources.

Modify and enhance existing applications to address specific issues.

Prepare required data and resolve complex data & operational issues.

Liaise across actuarial, IT and business units, ensuring communication and coordination.

Develop new methodologies, products and procedures, staying current with industry trends.

Peer‑review modeling work and coach less experienced staff.

Provide training to underwriters, product analysts, actuaries, claims associates and programmers.

Manage work for non‑direct reports including actuaries, modelers and programmers.

Prepare for and pass actuarial exams, maintaining continuing education as required by the American Academy of Actuaries.

Adhere to Actuarial Standards of Practice.

Apply judgment to high‑profile complex issues.

Required Technical Skills Proficient in MS Office Suite and actuarial software used for reserving, ratemaking, pricing, modeling stochastic distributions or data analysis.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

Six (6) or more years of (re)insurance/actuarial experience, with the ability to manage and direct development of actuarial and predictive solutions.

Preferred experience in pricing.

Education, Certifications & Designations

Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics or related field.

Member of the Casualty Actuarial Society with Associateship (ACAS).

Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
