This Position reports to: Procurement Manager
Your Role And Responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the interface between the Procurement and Research and Development (R&D) team. Each day, you will drive procurement knowledge (market, suppliers, external intelligence) into the development process to optimize cost, quality, and technology. You will also showcase your expertise by translating R&D requests into procurement parameters for execution.
The work model for the role is: This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in San Luis Potosi.
Responsibilities
Accountable for Cost break down analysis, hedging forecast program for main commodities, supplier cost review, search for cost improvement with suppliers and processes.
Acting as a key business focal point for revising the procurement Gate Model checklist.
Selecting, with the support of affected Procurement teams, the prototype suppliers and final production material suppliers, in line with product cost requirements, future product footprint requirements, time-to-market requirements, and procurement strategies, while ensuring sustainable quality and cost.
Act as key stakeholder for multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications For The Role
Bachelors degree in Engineering
6+ Years experience in Purchasing, cost analysis, manufacturing impact cost in MetalFab industry
Advanced English
SAP or other ERP knowledge
Manufacturing Know-how processes
Ability to lead indirect teams, self directed, open communication
