Hayes & Associates, L.L.C. – Staff Accountant
Hayes & Associates, L.L.C. invites applications for a Staff Accountant based in Omaha, Nebraska, with flexible remote options up to three days per week.
Responsibilities
Prepare, organize, and record financial transactions.
Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting services.
Organize and update financial records.
Assist in planning, risk assessment, and preparation of financial statements.
Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietors.
Respond to IRS notices.
Meet with clients to provide business consulting and tax planning.
Prepare documentation for external auditors.
Perform review, compilation, preparation, audit, and agree‑upon procedure engagements.
Qualifications
B.S. or B.A. degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
0‑2 years of experience in public or general accounting (experience with nonprofit or government accounting a plus).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with QuickBooks, CCH ProSystem fx Engagement, and PPC is a plus.
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
Excellent client relationship and time‑management skills.
Self‑motivated and able to work independently on multiple client engagements.
CPA certification is a plus.
