Company Description ASPIRE aims to build and empower a community of Asian American women leaders through identity development, mentorship, and education. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Boston, ASPIRE is a volunteer‑run non‑profit organization that supports the professional and personal growth of Asian American girls and women. Our mission is to engage, educate, and empower Asian American girls and women to become effective lifelong leaders.
Role Description The primary responsibility of the Mentorship Volunteer Coordinator is to recruit potential mentors and mentees for the Mentorship Program, match them to build a relationship, and serve as a point of contact between the pairs and ASPIRE.
This is a non‑paid volunteer position. You do not need to be based in the Greater Boston‑area to join.
Key Responsibilities
Regular check‑ins with the mentors and mentees and collect evaluation/feedback from matches
Be available to the matches when they need additional support
Support the mentor and mentee onboarding and orientation processes (expectations, guidelines, etc.)
Collaborate with Mentorship Events Coordinator on volunteer capacity for program events and orientation
Communicate and advocate for needs of mentors and mentees to Mentorship Program Event Coordinator and Mentorship Program Director
Work closely with the Program Events Coordinator and provide support for events when needed
Update the mentors and mentees database
Attend monthly ASPIRE team meetings
Represent ASPIRE at community events
Time Commitment : 7‑10 hours per week
