Piping Project Engineer / Piping Design Engineer – Novi, MI (Direct Hire)
A multinational company with a facility in the Novi / Wixom, MI area is currently seeking several Piping Project Engineers and Piping Design Engineers for direct hire opportunities with their growing team. These are exciting opportunities for Piping Designers and Engineers looking for a company that offers excellent growth and development opportunities with competitive rates.
Local candidates are preferred, but relocation assistance is available for well qualified candidates. Piping Project Engineer rates are anticipated to be $90,000-$120,000/year plus generous bonuses, based on each candidate's experience and education. Qualifications & Experience
3+ years of recent or relevant Piping Design and/or Engineering experience with industrial process piping, including ovens, process treatment tanks, piping, pumps, and closely related piping engineering experience. Experience with industrial HVAC will also be strongly considered.
3+ years of experience with component selection, equipment sizing for piping, motors, and pumps, and closely related skills.
2+ years of experience with piping calculations including air balancing, flow rates, pressures, etc.
Experience with gas combustion, gas trains, and utility supplies (air, gas, water).
3+ years of experience with AutoCAD design and engineering of capital equipment. Candidates with advanced skills in overseeing/redlining for full‑time designers are also needed. Additional familiarity with creating and coordinating scopes of work, and routine engineering and customer documentation is advantageous.
Must be able to travel 15‑25%, typically for shorter duration trips for customer site visits and meetings.
A BS degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is a benefit but not essential. Equivalent combination of an Associate’s degree and work experience will also be considered.
Must be able to work in the United States (no H‑1B sponsorship or student visas considered).
Must be able to complete standard pre‑hire checks including background, drug screen, references, etc.
