Job Responsibilities

Support Plant Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations in uptime of critical equipment

Design and develop control systems and software to meet operational needs for project specifications

Conduct system analysis to evaluate functionality and identify areas for improvement

Programming and configuring PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and other control interfaces to optimize performance

Collaborating with maintenance, engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure systems integration and operability

Testing and troubleshooting control components to ensure robustness and safety of the system

Maintain and upgrade existing control systems to enhance efficiency and longevity

Provide support and training to other engineers and users on how to operate the newly implemented or modified systems

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain documentation of procedures and configurations

The day-to-day tasks of a Control Engineer may vary based on the specifics of the project.

Performing regular maintenance checks on control systems and affiliated machinery

Supporting staff in recovery of or upgrade of panels, circuits, and processors for control systems

Simulating control strategies to predict system behavior under different conditions

Collaborating closely with maintenance and operations teams to achieve process optimization

Documenting accurate records for future reference and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.

Proven experience in a control engineering role, preferably within the industry-specific to Manufacturing.

Understanding of computer programming and software related to automated control systems.

Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software, such as CAD, MATLAB, LabView, Rockwell Factory Talk, Siemens, Allen Bradley, ABB etc.
