The Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) manages the care of patients in the Thoracic Surgery and Pulmonary Transplant Specialties, emphasizing quality, timeliness, and the advancement of the Veterans Affairs (VA) mission.
Duties
The PA provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, education and medication management for patients in both surgical and non-surgical management pathways.
The position may include inpatient and outpatient care.
The PA may also complete virtual/Econsults in collaboration with Thoracic Surgery/Pulmonary Transplant staff.
Other duties may also be assigned to assist the facility as determined by the Specialty Section Chief and/or Administrative Supervisor.
The PA works collaboratively across surgery, medicine, nursing, and other professional service lines.
