Ascendo Resources is seeking a Manager, Lease Accounting to lead our global lease accounting operations.
Base pay range: $125,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year. Additional compensation includes annual bonus and RSUs.
Location: Hybrid – Nashville, TN or Chicago, IL.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the global lease accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate reporting across multiple entities.
Oversee application of ASC 842 and related accounting standards, ensuring compliance and consistency worldwide.
Maintain and enhance global lease accounting policies, controls, and systems.
Review complex lease arrangements and provide authoritative technical accounting guidance.
Direct global lease accounting close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Real Estate, Legal, FP&A, and other key business partners.
Manage global lease schedules and ensure integrity of data within the lease accounting system.
Oversee audit deliverables, financial disclosures, and internal control documentation.
Coach and develop a team of global professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and growth.
Drive process standardization, automation, and system enhancements for scalability and efficiency.
Serve as a subject matter expert for lease accounting matters across the enterprise.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including in-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Proven leadership or supervisory experience in corporate accounting or a global environment.
Experience with lease accounting software (FinQuery preferred) and large-scale accounting systems.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to partner effectively across teams.
Hybrid schedule with office presence in Chicago, IL or Nashville, TN.
Competitive base salary ($133K - $135K plus annual bonus and equity package).
