Job Summary
The Burke Moore Law Group is seeking an Experienced Claims Analyst focused on commercial claim collection efforts to join our growing Pre‑Legal team. This role focuses on recovering outstanding balances on commercial and utility‑damage claims through professional communications, negotiation, and documentation management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business‑to‑business collections and the ability to manage complex claim files with precision and tact.
Responsibilities
Manage assigned commercial accounts, including utility damage, insurance recovery, and other business‑to‑business claims.
Initiate and respond to correspondence with contractors, insurers, residential and commercial damagers, third‑party investigators / claim adjusters, and corporate representatives to facilitate resolution.
Review investigative documentation, contracts, and invoices to determine liability and support recovery positions.
Negotiate payment arrangements, settlements, or claim resolutions within established authority levels.
Accurately document all collection activity in the firm’s case management system.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to firm policies, applicable state laws, and client guidelines.
Requirements
5‑8 years’ experience in commercial collections, subrogation, or insurance recovery.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Solid analytical skills and a disciplined attention to detail.
Proven ability to interpret contracts, invoices, and supporting documentation.
Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Experience working in a legal, insurance, or utility‑damage recovery environment preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Self‑motivated, professional demeanor, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑driven environment.
Ability to work with a variety of personalities and ensure strong customer service.
