The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a strategic liaison between IT and business units, facilitating the identification and implementation of technology-driven solutions to business challenges. This role combines business analysis and project coordination responsibilities, including gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing existing systems and workflows, and recommending improvements. The BSA ensures solutions are well-documented and aligned with business goals, while also driving project execution through Agile methodologies, including Scrum facilitation and sprint planning.
Analyze user requirements, business processes, procedures and problems to identify opportunities for improvement and automation
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document functional and technical requirements using tools such as JIRA and Confluence, scribe, etc.
Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and system manuals
Train users on new or upgraded systems and procedures, ensuring adoption and proficiency
Organize and facilitate sprints, including all necessary meetings to keep project momentum and remove blockers
Build and maintain process and procedures required for compliance and audits
Improve training and operational procedures within a business to increase efficiency and productivity
Work directly with clients to understand the individual needs of the business
Use data visualization tools like Power BI to analyze data and support business decisions
Oversee business projects from beginning to completion
Examine current and new business procedures and recommend solutions for improvement
Create specifications for new projects by developing project goals, phases, and budgets
Create new best practices to benefit the organization related to banking in the business lines and IT
