A major client of ours in the Financial Services industry has a need for Front Office and Regulatory IT Business Analysts specialized in FX and Fixed Income electronic trading workflows, including bonds and Interest Rate Derivatives (primarily Interest Rate Swaps), with ION knowledge as a plus, and TRACE reporting, Broker Dealer regulations.

This is a long‑term contract opportunity located in Midtown Manhattan, NYC. The position is W2 only (no C2C, no 1099), with a hybrid schedule: three days in the office.

The Global Markets & Risks Pre‑Trade Sales & Execution IT team provides Global Macro, Equity/Securities Lending and Credit businesses with reliable, time‑sensitive IT solutions. The team operates within an agile framework covering user needs collection, analysis, design, implementation, delivery, support, and maintenance.

Primary responsibilities:

Business Analysis to implement new features and provide functional support for end users in Front Office and Operations.

Gather requirements from traders or compliance, write business requirements, create mock‑up screens or proofs of concept.

Liaise with IT developers (local and Head Office), define and execute test scripts, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Assist functional support, plan and status reporting.

Act as facilitator between end‑users and L1 Support team.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Work closely with stakeholders—traders, operations, compliance—to understand needs.

Formalize business requirements, translate into user stories for IT teams.

Build mockups or PoC.

Define and execute test scripts.

Coordinate UAT.

Document and enrich knowledge base.

Facilitate support issues between end‑users and L1 Support.

Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Finance.

Experience in IT business analysis for Front Office, Operations, Compliance in finance.

Knowledge of financial products (Structured Products, Equity Options, Securities Lending, TRS, Repo, Interest Rate Derivatives, credit bonds, CLO) and trade workflows.

Transactional Regulatory Reporting (TRACE Reporting) and Broker Dealer Regulations knowledge.

ION experience a plus.

SQL, Python, or C# knowledge a plus.

Agile Scrum practices using Jira and Confluence.

Strong analytical, detail orientation, solutions focus.

Ability to prioritize and multi‑task in fast‑paced environments.

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Finance.
