Location Atlanta, Georgia

Job Summary Trileaf is seeking a FULL‑TIME Senior Environmental Project Scientist with at least 2 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on telecommunications and/or commercial real estate projects, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Review Reports, and/or migratory bird evaluations. This position is based in our Atlanta, Georgia office.

Candidates will work on-site.

Key Responsibilities

Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site

Conducting interviews, in person, via email, and phone

Performing regulatory agency file reviews

Ordering & analyzing government database records

Reviewing historical data (including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs)

Conducting field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air

Compare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standards

Drafting a standardized report using information from these various sources

Completing requested revisions & submitting report within pre‑established timelines

Basic Qualifications To be considered, the resume of the applicant must demonstrate the following qualifications/skills:

Qualifications / Experience

Phase I ESAs and/or NEPA Assessments

40‑Hour HAZWOPER Certification

Mold assessment/indoor air quality (IAQ) experience

Licensed Asbestos/Lead‑based paint Inspector

Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)

Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018)

Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP 50 10 6)

Environmental Professional (EP)

Wetland Delineations

Education Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields
