This position serves as the senior analyst and fusion‑center liaison between the Detroit Southeast Michigan Information & Intelligence Center (DSEMIIC) and the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center. In this role, the analyst leads critical‑infrastructure analysis, assigns and monitors investigative casework, and directs resources to partner agencies. The analyst provides advanced analytic support, ensuring all assessments, reports, maps, charts, and graphs meet quality standards before dissemination. They coordinate the flow of operational and intelligence information statewide, deliver subject‑matter expertise to law enforcement agencies on complex investigations, and maintain productive working relationships with analytic counterparts and public‑safety partners. This position will perform functions in a bias‑free manner.

About the Michigan State Police The Michigan State Police (MSP) is a full‑service policing agency with statewide jurisdiction, providing over 60 different services either directly to Michigan residents or in support of other law‑enforcement agencies. The MSP personnel most visible to the public are the uniform troopers whose primary responsibilities include traffic enforcement, crime prevention and investigation, and community engagement and service.
Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full‑time active‑duty experience at or above the E‑6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
This position requires passing a pre‑employment screening, including passing a drug screen, criminal history background check, and a fingerprint check by the Michigan State Police.
Security Clearance There are security clearances in place for this position. The candidate will be required to have a valid clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
