Part‑Time Controller – Nonprofit Organizations

Your Part‑Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) partners with nonprofit organizations to provide outsourced accounting and financial services. Responsibilities

Serve as the outsourced controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients.

Prepare and deliver financial reports for management and board decision‑making.

Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance.

Handle transaction activities: accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, and month‑end close.

Perform analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and data visualization.

Manage grant reporting, funder allocations, and compliance with grant requirements.

Oversee annual audit preparation and execution.

Provide client and staff training as needed.

Qualifications

Passionate about nonprofit work and supporting organizations.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or related field). CPA certification is a plus.

5–7+ years of accounting experience, ideally in nonprofit or public accounting.

Experience with multiple general ledger packages, especially QuickBooks and electronic bill‑pay systems.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to manage multiple clients independently.

Experience in a remote environment is preferred.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Benefits & Compensation

Hourly rate: $50–$65 per hour (plus overtime for non‑exempt employees).
